Successful upgrade of mechanical press

Rearick Tooling - EV 12 TK3 

“The long standing employees were nervous and skeptical to install a servo feed”, says CEO and owner Stephen Rearick “ however, I’m convinced that once they see the advantages of such a great feed with modern control, they will love it”. After 4 months, Rearick Tooling has ordered a second unit to be installed on the next press to be overhauled.

Rearick tooling has installed an EV 12 TK high-speed feeding unit with the new CX control to replace a mechanical feed. The control cabinet is installed as a separate desk control unit. The feeding unit is running synchronous to the press thanks to a high-resolution coder mounted on the former feed shaft. Production speed is in the range of 800-1000 strokes per minute.
