Zehnder & Sommer is known throughout the world for its compact precision feeds.
Launched 20 years ago, the large EV AGM and EV AGS have been produced less and less, although the need for powerful feeds has not decreased.
In 2016, the project for a new powerful EV XG feed was therefore launched, in order to guarantee the same precision in the field of large feeders as well.
The new EV XG and EV XF series can feed sheets up to 15 mm thick or thin sheets up to 1600 mm wide. In terms of repeatability accuracy, the large model has nothing to envy its smaller colleagues and radiates to 0.02 mm.
From the prototype test to the present day, the early EV XG has now been in production for 3 years manufacturing products for access systems. This long period of operation has enabled us to gain a lot of important knowledge for the development of the serial product.
The powerful EV XG roll feed with a tensile force of up to 5000 N is suitable for materials up to 15 mm thick and is available in widths from 240 mm to 640 mm.
One year of production with special knurled rolls. Despite the high pressure of an EV XG (up to 13500 N contact pressure), we achieved positive results: slippage was considerably reduced, and the high-quality visible metals remained flawless.
For a year now, the powerful EV XF 640 TQ for wide sheets has been successfully used in daily production of precision perforated sheets.
The powerful EV XF Feed with adjustable contact pressure on both sides is available in widths from 480 mm to 1600 mm.
